![]() ![]() In order to balance the armor out though, warriors need to sacrifice some defense in return for ranged bonuses and rangers need to sack a bit of damage and a better set bonus for the defensive boost. Plus, if we need to defeat a miniboss to obtain the neccessary components ALONG with some of the higher tier ores in the caverns, then it should be a great mixed armor that both Warrior and Ranged can use. They lose out on a bit of damage in return for some of the defense Warrior can get. So if someone wishes to use the Frost Armor, then they should be using both Melee and Ranged, as it gives less than the damage bonuses than the standard ore armors give in return for mixed damage bonuses with both and a defensive middle ground to tackle varying situations in hardmode.Įssentially, they kinda already get punished for using it because the set bonus and damage bonuses are not as great as let's say, the Adamantite Armor. Crafting a one-helmet set requires 59 Titanium Bars, made from 236 / 295 Titanium Ore. Like many Hardmode armors, it has three different headgear/helmet options, allowing the player to focus on magical, melee, or ranged combat. If someone wishes to use Frost Armor, then they would also lose out on a few damaging bonuses for ranged, Adamantite and Titanium armor both give better ranged bonuses if using the Ranged helmet and also arguably have a better and less situational set bonus to boast. The Titanium armor set is an armor set crafted from Titanium Bars, and is the alternative to Adamantite armor. Since you get bonuses for both classes(which are excellent enough on their own merits), the armor itself is balanced enough and I don't see the need for a buff on the melee stats on the Frost Armor. As it is now, the armor set actually holds up as is and makes for an excellent armor choice IF you are using both types of weapons to deal with hardmode. Plus, the armor set itself already gives some melee damage and some melee speed, along with more ranged damage and movement speed to make both weapon types useful with the armor. ![]() Adamantite is most importantly used to craft a Adamantite Forge, which is. To craft all Adamantite equipment, the player needs to acquire 266 bars, or a total of 1064 / 1330 ores. Adamantite equipment is colored maroon red. 2 fish for titanium, which takes a long time but will get you extra cash and buffs such as lifeforce or wrath (or rage and heart-reach if you pick crimson) 3 look for other buffs/weapons. Adamantite Bars are crafting subproducts made from 4 / 5 Adamantite Ore, one of the three top-tier hardmode ores that are obtainable in a world. Because it is a hybrid, it is supposed to have a defensive "middle ground" between Warrior and Ranger. as a melee main you have five options.1 get frost armour, but i consider this worse than adamantite as the de-buff is not worth the benefits of adamantite. I do that sometimes myself, and it gives great enough bonuses to both classes to make both Melee and Ranged weapons viable with the armor set. Generally, you would use that armor ONLY if you find yourself using melee weapons and ranged weapons at the same time. They provide excellent protection, more melee damage. It's supposed to cater to people who specifically use both those class weapon types and mixes bonuses from both classes to make a "hybrid" class of sorts. The finest armor sets for players who are making progress in the game are Titanium or Adamantite Armor.
